What is a Functional Nutritionist?
A functional nutritionist is an individual educated in alternative and complementary healing practices and uses a science-based holistic approach to help clients achieve health and well-being. A holistic nutrition approach involves the implication of dietary and lifestyle changes and the utilization of natural supplements/herbs to support the body's overall physiology.

Can I use my insurance to pay for services?
No, Back to Roots Nutrition does not accept or bill insurance companies.

How much do the services cost?
All clients at Back to Roots Nutrition have different health goals, and therefore every protocol is different for every person. Because of this, prices can vary depending on what your goals are and if we do any lab testing or not. We operate using wellness packages, and the right package for you will be discussed and tailored during your free discovery call & consultation.

What do your programs look like?
You can take a look on the services page for more an explanation of services and we will also go over them during your consultation. We offer programs that address diet changes and lifestyle modifications, we conduct functional lab testing and we use practitioner-grade supplements when needed to support and manage your health concerns and goals. All packages include an extensive health history, report of findings, personalized meal plan with calories and macros, recipes and weekly to monthly follow-up visits dependent on your goals and package selection.

Do you have any maintenance programs or pay as you go?
Yes, once you reach your goal weight we want you to stay there so setting up a maintenance package is key. We will go over what this looks like based on your needs during our last 1:1 session. Most maintenance packages offer (1) 45 minute session every month, but this can be adjusted based on each individual's needs and goals. We also have an option for add on coaching sessions if you're just needing minimal assistance. 

Can I still buy products/supplements from your Estore after my package expires?
Yes, you still have access to purchase products/supplements after your done with the program. As an active client, you will have access to discounts and promotions as they come up. 

Do you get any kind of bonus for referring family/friends?
Yes, we appreciate referrals so much! We have a referral program where if you do the program and then refer someone and they join, you will get a credit toward any package or a complimentary add on service. More details on this in your session. 

Do you see both male and females? What about teens?
We have female and male clients but we typically see females since we specialize more in women's health. We see teens 18+. 

 
Are you open on the weekends?
We typically see clients Monday-Friday but we will be around to answer questions that arise. Please note, if you message on the weekend, allow for up to 24 hours for a response. We do our best to accommodate you and your needs so please just reach out via email if you need a certain day or time for a session that is not listed in scheduling. 

Do you offer both remote and in person appointments?
At this time we are only offering remote appointments via zoom and phone calls.
